calling all playful visionaries
you dont have to be a professional artist, you dont have to present your cv or show 'n tell what you do in normal day to day life.. you dont have to get on stage if you dont feel like it..
playing is where things are at
just look at things with some new eyes - turn your vision upside down
collaborate, explore
but whatever you do come to Show 'n Tell !!!

Work in progress
"My friend Libby and and I would like to contribute a shared-writing-drawing-book collaboration. We envision a large book in which people can write, draw etc. stick words, pictures, findings and tell a story while doing so. Each page will lead on from the previous though is not restricted in form. We'll supply magazines, pencils, crayons, stencils, glue and simply see what happens. The Heritage theme will be an interesting thread to incorporate into the story as well. This is still a work in progress!" - Michelle

Blast off!
Hold on to your seats! The countdown has begun. There are only 2 months, 22 days, 19 hours and 37 seconds till blast off.
In between blowing our vuvuzelas, the Matjies Massive has rolled up it's sleeves and got stuck into putting together a kick-ass program from YOUR fantastic contributions and ideas that are coming in. Don't stop, asseblief. And if you haven't yet dropped us a mail, use half-time between all that laduuuuma action to make contact. This year is a looooong weekend and it really helps us if we know what you're cooking up for the 5th, yes folks, the 5th Matjiesfontein Show 'n Tell.
P.S. Heritage is where it's at and what it's all about, maatjies.
P.P.S. If you've forgotten the how-and-what-to-do, let your mouse follow the trail to here
Spring Safari
"For my matjies contribution 2010, I will be taking a group into the veld and mountains surrounding matjies to explore the beautiful spring flowers of the area. Contact has been made with the local herbalist/healer/plantsman - Andries Stouter - who will be accompanying the walkers to dispense his local knowledge of the plants and their uses. So bring your hiking shoes, we're heading out of town... " - Greg Nicolson
