Ella Joyce Buckley will be performing in Matjiesfontein over the weekend, watch out for her on one of the antique pianos in town.

Influences :david Lynch--Gu Zheng---sexual personae--swimming--charles bukowski--sylvia plath--the doors--astronomy--dylan thomas--william blake--the terror and threat of natural and darkly feminine forces--veils--magic--dreams--danger--rebellion--hidden strength--debauchery--beauty--the waters of the subconscious--solitude--instinct

"We chat about ego and the spirituality of music. And how hard it is to sing a cappela. I cannot imagine getting onto a stage and doing what Ella is doing. Standing up there with you and an instrument and singing your heart out about the most personal stuff in your life. I asked her at one stage if she thinks it would be easier to use a persona on stage and she says no. She uses personas in her day-to-day life, when she’s on stage she has to be her honest self."
